“I was always interested in psychology and people’s behaviour and emotions, but decades in the workforce and family life have brought perspective and experience into my practice,” the former IT and engineering professional says.

“The brain is like a much more interesting and complex computer.”

Carol joins Therapy Pro as a psychologist (provisional), working with child and adult clients needing psychological assessments and interventions.

As well as developing behavioural support plans, she can help you work through anxiety, grief, trauma, depression, complex mental health issues, emotional regulation issues and stress management.

“I’m excited that the NDIS makes this type of support accessible,” she says.

“I hope to be able to ease the sense of overwhelm, to celebrate ability and strengths, to guide new ways of interacting and achieving.”

Carol speaks from personal experience: she remembers her family’s reaction when a sibling sustained traumatic life-changing injuries in a workplace accident decades ago, and her own feelings having children diagnosed with disabilities: “We all need to learn to navigate new ways.”

Carol is a Monash University graduate.
