Dana Breadsell is awesome at connect-the-dots, particularly when it involves bringing together the many different physical, mental and social factors that interact and impact people’s health and wellbeing.

“Physical and psychological health can’t be separated, one affects the other,” says Dana, a registered and Senior Psychologist at Therapy Pro.

Dana is available to work with child, adolescent and adult clients who seek help with emotional regulation, behaviour management, social skills development, better sleep hygiene, depression, anxiety, stress management, and management of physical health issues.

Dana has pursued specific psychological training in chronic pain/persistent pain management.

“Pain may not manifest on a scan but that doesn’t mean it isn’t real,” she says.

“I work with clients to address pain from a psychological perspective and improve coping skills and quality of life.”

Dana carries out psychological assessments and tailors interventions to individual needs. These may include behaviour support plans and positive behaviour practices.

For Dana, a variety of previous careers – including nannying, nursing and psychology practice in employment services and private practice – have shared a common theme and led her to where she is today: working together with people to help them reach their fulfilling life goals.

Dana holds a Masters degree in Health Psychology from The University of Queensland and continues to undertake advanced further training in the Health Psychology area of practice.
