Deanna Spear is an experienced, client-centred and down-to-earth occupational therapist who has worked in the field since 2007.

Deanna supports child and adult clients who seek to improve their independence in everyday activities, and in turn their quality of life.

“Every day is different – everyone is different – what we individually hold important is different too,” Deanna says. “I love enabling clients to re-engage in valued activities or discover their ability to do something for the first time.”

Deanna has particular experience working with clients with physical disability as well as acquired impairments and chronic conditions.

Deanna will carry out assessments of daily living skills, functional mobility assessment and cognitive assessments, and suggest ways to work towards goals that may relate to everyday activities or involvement in school, community, or work.

She can confidently prescribe assistive technology and recommend home modifications.

Deanna Spear graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) degree.
