Since 2003, Jaclyn (“call me Jackie”) Phimsipasom has professionally celebrated the strengths of people with disability.

For much of that time, registered psychologist Jackie has worked with children and young people on the autism spectrum, and their families, within one of the world’s biggest autism-specific school programs.

Her roles included autism assessment diagnostics, behaviour interventions, and engaging the child or teen’s interests so that therapeutic strategies worked and they kicked the life goals they wanted – like working, living independently and having relationships.

As a Therapy Pro psychologist on the Gold Coast, Jackie is available to work with clients of all ages, supporting their emotional and mental health needs.

She carries out psychological assessments and provides tailored therapeutic interventions, including behavioural support plans.

Jaclyn Phimsipasom has an interest in working with people who have challenging behaviours.

Jackie has the usual expansive range of therapy tools to draw on to best suit your needs – and then there’s her surprise qualification: she’s a personal trainer too.

“I’ve seen so many people over the years seek support for psychological issues like anxiety or depression and be physically unwell, unfit, and disconnected, craving social connection and inclusion,” she says.

“When you build stamina and strength, you build confidence and self-belief and are more likely to get involved with others.”

Jaclyn is a Macquarie University graduate.
