Jess Ross became an occupational therapist, (or OT) by chance – not design – and she’s grateful every day for that decision.

“When a client works up to moving out of their comfort zone towards their goal, that’s a leap of faith and I find that so rewarding,” she explains.

Creative, realistic, and down-to-earth, Jess has enjoyed more than a decade’s professional practice in communities across Australia, supporting clients with physical or intellectual disability or mental health conditions, and often complex care needs.

As an occupational therapist, Jess is all about helping you improve daily living functions—at home, work or socially— enabling you to be as independent as possible, safely.

Clients of all ages have benefitted from Jess’s ease in understanding their needs and finding solutions – for all needs, from pressure care to wheelchairs, continence to future planning.

Jess expertly assesses for daily living functions, functional mobility, continence, and home safety and modifications.

She’s great at prescribing appropriate aids and equipment too.

Mental health has been an area of strong interest and practice for many years, as well as pain management.

Since becoming a mother, Jess acknowledges she’s become more understanding of parents’ concerns about child development and milestones, and eagerly seeks to provide the much needed supports early intervention assessments can give.

Jess is a graduate of the Auckland Institute of Technology.
