John Ubert knows that achieving real change in life requires motivation and determination.
He is a case in point. Disenchanted after decades in the corporate world in Australia and New York, John chose to retrain in a profession that would help people (because that aspect of his work he really enjoyed). In 2022, he joins Therapy Pro Melbourne as a psychologist (provisional).
“There’s a saying that there are three solutions to every problem: accept it, change it or leave it. It holds true. It’s what I did,” John says.
“Granted you can’t ‘leave’ a disability per se but, I suggest, perhaps you can leave the way you deal with it.”
Along with rich life experiences and bucketloads of common sense, John Ubert is available to support child, adolescent, and adult clients’ emotional and mental health, undertaking psychological assessments and tailoring appropriate therapeutic interventions.
As well as developing behavioural support plans, John can help clients work through anxiety, stress, grief, depression, and other emotional regulation issues.
John is keen to support clients wanting to improve social interactions, learn new skills, and maintain positive behaviours.
A Monash University psychology graduate, John Ubert gained his Masters of Psychology with ISN Psychology.
