In her former working life, as a taxation consultant, Larissa Baxter helped clients get their financial wellbeing sorted, making sense of the stuff tucked away in a shoebox for a once-a-year review.

Now a psychologist (provisional), Larissa applies the traits she needed before – curiosity, empathy, patience, optimism and understanding – to support Therapy Pro clients achieve everyday mental and emotional wellbeing.

“There’s a lot of ‘stuff’ filed away in our heads that can benefit from being rationalised, better expressed, better understood or even discarded,” she says.

“I provide space for you to talk about what matters to you and make sense of it.”

Larissa has worked with young children diagnosed on the autism spectrum, receiving intensive early intervention supports, and with adults reaching out through a telephone crisis service when they’ve not known where to turn.

As a Therapy Pro psychologist (provisional), Larissa is available to work with children, teenagers and adults with disability who want to work through mental and emotional health issues.

She conducts psychological assessments and can provide specialist behaviour support to identify techniques and strategies that support positive behaviour, anger management, emotional regulation, stress management and better social skills. Where needed, Larissa can develop behaviour support plans and work with the person’s support team to implement the plan.

Larissa looks forward to working with you, cheering you on as your goals are reached with the rallying words “onwards and upwards!”

Larissa is a Bond University graduate.
