Leanne Williams wants it known that an appointment at your home is all about you and not about whether your house is clean and tidy.

“I’m real, I’m human and I’m the parent of a child with a disability. Relax and be yourself, please,” the Therapy Pro mental health social worker says.

Since 2001, Leanne has helped clients and their families better manage their daily lives, understand and adapt to illness, life situations or disability, and access social support services.

In 2007, she took the next step, specialising as a mental health social worker, dealing with complex situations.

Leanne has proven adept at assessing and working effectively with people experiencing relationship problems, family conflicts, trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.

She has particular interests and experience in eating disorders and body image, and is an ally of the LGBTIQ+ community.

“I seek to create a space in which it is safe to talk openly and explore thoughts and feelings,” Leanne says.

“I see you as an individual and as part of a family, extended family, workplace, community… your environment impacts and influences you, your values, your personality, your behaviours.”

Leanne is an experienced counsellor.

Originally from New Zealand, gained her Masters in Social Work at Monash University.
