Liam Cassidy brings so much to his Therapy Pro occupational therapy role.

Liam gained significant experience as a disability support worker for clients with acquired brain injury, when he was completing his studies in Occupational Therapy. He was a qualified diversional therapist before that. He’s worked in aged care – and he knows first-hand what it’s like to be a family carer of a person with a progressive neurological disorder.

This career evolution has deepened his commitment to help children and adults be the best they can be, doing what’s meaningful to them.

Liam can help with daily living tasks—personal hygiene, eating, walking —as well as assess clients’ aids and equipment needs for improved independence and safety.

He’s also grateful for insights he brings to his new role from his diversional therapy days.

“Leisure and lifestyle are not all there is to life, but they definitely enhance living!” Liam says. “If being out in the community is important to you—if you’re missing not doing something that’s been important to you—let’s explore some perhaps less obvious ways of enabling it to happen.”

Away from work, Liam enjoys sport (rugby league and cricket particularly) and family time, and he hopes his toddler daughter will be keen to develop her bowling arm.
