Psychologist (provisional)

Ipswich

  • Works with adults
  • Works with children

She can help Therapy Pro clients with psychological assessments and interventions, behavioural support and advice including writing and developing Positive Behaviour Support Plans, as well as individual and family counselling.

Manraj has gained experience at a number of community agencies, working with clients who have multiple diagnoses or who have experienced trauma, violence, abuse or loss.

She particularly enjoys working with children and teenagers, helping to develop social skills, improve emotional regulation and challenge unhelpful thoughts or actions.

“Children come with their own support system: their family, school, other services. I work with the child and those around them. Early interventions make a big difference and the benefits of long-term recovery are marked,” Manraj says.

Manraj holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland and is further certified in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavioural therapy.

Away from work, Manraj creates special occasion cakes and desserts. Ironically, ‘stressed’ is ‘desserts’ spelled backwards!
