Throughout her almost 20-year occupational therapy career, Marnie Combes has enjoyed applying a solution-focused approach to a diverse group of clients, working together towards living a quality life, despite disability or illness.
Marnie joins the Therapy Pro team with a broad base of experience, having worked in hospitals on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane as well as in the community and with not-for-profit organisations.
Marnie Combes works with clients of all ages, supporting improved key relationships and daily living functions that matter to you.
Medicare-registered, she can assist with functional assessments and prescription of minor modifications and equipment to maintain independence at work, home, school, or the community.
Marnie specialises in occupational therapy driving assessments and driver rehabilitation. She understands how important driving is for independence and will do all she can to enable this important activity of daily living.
She also has particular experience in dementia and cognitive rehabilitation.
Every time Marnie connects with a client, she feels she’s paying forward gratitude on her family’s behalf.
“An OT helped Dad improve his quality of life and self-esteem. That’s what I work to provide every day,” the James Cook University graduate says.
