Rose Ashton-Duyvestyn has worked as a qualified occupational therapist since 2016, in New Zealand and Australia.
She loves that her job is about helping people grow in independence, self-belief, self-worth, and self-confidence by achieving their goals.
Rose loves the variety her role serves up – and the fact that no two clients will ever have exactly the same needs, wants, dreams or ways of doing things.
As an occupational therapist with Therapy Pro, Rose Ashton-Duyvestyn is a ‘daily life specialist’, working with clients of all ages to improve daily living functions— at home or within the community, at school or at work.
She carries out functions of daily living assessments and mobility assessments and looks at practical strategies to overcome barriers to goals.
Rose can assess and prescribe aids and equipment and may make recommendations for minor home modifications that benefit independence and safety.
Rose can work with clients who are non-verbal, and is particularly experienced in supporting clients with acquired brain injury.
Rose Ashton-Duyvestyn gained her occupational therapy degree at Otago Polytechnic in New Zealand.
