Sarah Larkins has worked in the disability space, supporting people with disability, since 2006.

She joins Therapy Pro as a psychologist (provisional) offering professional skills she hopes will help empower clients to challenge assumptions and strive for what they really want.

“Equity is what motivated me to work in the community sector in the first place, to support people find their best life,” Sarah says.

“If you’re wondering ‘does it have to be this way’, let’s talk and work out how to make a difference.”

Sarah works with clients of all ages who want to address challenges relating to the way they feel, think, act, and behave.

Sarah Larkins conducts psychological assessments and provides solutions-focused therapeutic interventions — techniques and strategies that support positive behaviour, anger management, emotional regulation, stress management and better social skills. Where needed Sarah can develop behaviour support plans and work with the person’s support team to implement the plan.

She has particular experience supporting youth and adults with mental health diagnoses and in providing trauma counselling for children, particularly those diagnosed on the autism spectrum.

Sarah has basic sign language skills: both AUSLAN and MAKATON.

Sarah received a graduate diploma in psychology from Monash University in 2018.
