Sharalyn Kerr brings a wealth of practical life experience to her role as psychologist (provisional) with Therapy Pro Melbourne.

Sharalyn started her working life as a primary school teacher, gravitating to special education.

She later worked in the employment sector, helping young people —15 to 25 —transition to work with the educational or training supports they needed.

Sharalyn home-schooled her child to suit his specific learning needs.

“I’ve always been interested in helping people move from one stage to the next, to achieve their best in life,” she says.

As a psychologist (provisional), Sharalyn is available to work with children and adults with disabilities supporting their emotional and mental health, undertaking psychological assessments, and delivering therapeutic interventions.

Along with behavioural support plans, Sharalyn can help clients develop coping strategies, social skills and stress management.

Sharalyn can help clients work through anxieties, grief, depression, frustration and other emotional issues.

She has worked extensively with people from multicultural backgrounds, and with clients who have experienced traumatic events in their lives.

Sharalyn is a Charles Sturt University graduate.
