Tracey Adams joins Therapy Pro as Lead Psychologist working with adults and children with a disability in the Ipswich region.

Tracey has a diverse health care background, spanning 25 years. She’s worked in hospital, community, education, and forensic settings.

As a Lead Psychologist, Tracey’s role is two-fold: she directly assesses, counsels, and supports clients, as well as supervising and mentoring colleagues.

Clients referred to Tracey may seek help for dealing with difficult emotions and emotional regulation; positive behaviour management; grief and loss as well as improving relationships.

Tracey offers experience working with neurodiverse clients —people with cognitive impairments, learning difficulties or problematic behaviour— and clients who have experienced complex trauma.

“I believe that learning difficulties are really about learning differently, and it is a matter of using client strengths to find the key that unlocks the individual’s pathway to learning,” she says, echoing Therapy Pro’s multi-disciplinary approach to helping clients live their best lives.

“I believe that, in working together, the client gains the skills to manage challenges, better.”

Tracey Adams is a University of Southern Queensland graduate.
