Wendy Moussi was introduced to the world of allied health professions about a decade ago when one of her children showed developmental speech delays.

The search for answers marked the start of an unexpected career change that she’s passionate about.

“If choices and freedoms have been taken away, let’s work to reinstate them so that you can live your fullest life,” Wendy Moussi, a psychologist (provisional), says.

Wendy is available to work with children, teenagers, and adults with disability, carrying out psychological assessments and personalised therapeutic interventions.

She can develop behavioural support plans and deal with presentations including anxiety, stress, depression, anger, grief, and other emotional regulation issues.

Wendy honed her practical assessment and therapeutic skills working with prisoners in a correctional facility.

“Many of the inmates were NDIS recipients, they didn’t belong in prison, they had needed to get the right support: Their freedom and their choices had been taken away long before their custodial sentences,” she says.

Wendy Moussi is a Monash University graduate.
