Get to know Ashleigh L
Ashleigh works with clients to address challenges impacting all areas of communication, including literacy, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), language skills, social communication and speech sounds, as well as mealtime difficulties. Ashleigh has a particular interest in the use of technology to support communication. She can also prescribe technological aids to provide alternative non-verbal communication.
Ashleigh has worked as a Speech Pathologist in the disability sector for several years and has seen the positive impact that addressing communication challenges can have on people’s day-to-day lives. Ashleigh is skilled in supporting clients with mental health diagnoses, and complex disabilities to achieve their communication and mealtime goals.
Ashleigh takes a functional and gentle approach to working with people and prioritises providing a safe and supportive environment. She does this through collaborating with clients and their support networks to choose goals and ways of working towards these that suits each individual. Ashleigh enjoys working within a multidisciplinary team and problem-solving complex communication or mealtime difficulties to ensure the best outcomes for her clients.
