Our occupational therapists are highly skilled clinicians adept in problem solving.

We provide client-centred therapy services, identifying challenges that may prevent or limit you from engaging in certain activities.

By working with you to identify your goals, we build tailored solutions that empower you to live a rich, fulfilling life.

We’re all about achieving client goals and setting the path to get there.

Occupational Therapy with Therapy Pro

Our occupational therapists support you to do the things you need and want to do in all aspects of life: to participate more in the ‘everyday’ and realise greater independence. They support you in growing your capacity to care for yourself and others, to work and to connect with your community.

Here are some of what our NDIS Occupational Therapy team can do:

  • Assist children to develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Teach and support daily life skills, including cooking, dressing and personal care, domestic duties, daily errands, and community outings/engagements
  • Identify and provide support to individuals looking for independent living arrangement
  •  Work with children with autism (autistic children) to improve their sensory processing, empowering them to attend school, play with their friends and more
  • Assess and prescribe adaptive equipment that can help individuals to shower, toilet, dress and eat independently, sleep comfortably and safely, navigate their home and carry out household chores
  • Develop coping strategies to overcome mental health challenges
  • Suggest options for minor modifications to a home to enable safe movement throughout it
  • Test and recommend larger adaptive equipment, including walking aids, wheelchairs and scooters
  • Build a toolkit that supports confidence and self-esteem within social situations

Frequently Asked Questions

The term ‘Occupational Therapist’ may not be familiar to some, but the clue is in the name: it’s about our occupations – simply meaning the things you do every day that occupy your time and that you find meaningful! Whether this is work, play, self-care or recreation, occupational therapists work with their clients to understand their goals and motivations and overcome any barriers to participating in the activities you need and want to do.
If you’re having difficulty with everyday tasks due to a disability, recovering from an injury or illness, or have a major surgery scheduled, an occupational therapist can consider all necessary factors to make your daily experiences as safe and easy as possible.

We pride ourselves in being able to offer Occupational Therapy across Australia via our industry-leading telehealth platform. Alongside that, our in-person coverage includes (but is not limited to, and is ever growing) the list below: Townsville, Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, North Brisbane, South Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Northern Rivers, Melbourne and Sydney.
