Get to know Catherine S

How can you support people?

Catherine’s role complements and supports Therapy Pro’s other therapists working in multi-disciplined teams including speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists and mental health social workers.

How does your background shape the way you work?

Catherine started her career as an Organisational Psychologist in 2000 for several years where she created a training and paid employment arm for people with disability to join a large computer and logistics company that she was working at. The program was highly successful and to-date continues to employ some of those participants. Catherine then worked as a Psychologist in a disability employment agency for many years before moving onto a private company in a clinical setting and then worked for many years in her own private practice under a medical setting. Catherine decided that she would like to work in the NDIS and has been enjoying working at Therapy Pro for the past 5 years.

What is your approach to working with people?

Catherine’s approach to working with clients is one of warmth, compassion, understanding, listening to the clients needs, being nonjudgmental, professional and treating every client on an individual basis.
