Therapy Pro had the pleasure of handing over a $2,000 donation to Helen Crew, Childhood Cancer Support Inc General Manager.
Childhood Cancer Support is a Brisbane based not-for-profit organisation that has been operating for 44 years and is dedicated to supporting regional families who have children receiving life-saving cancer treatment.
The organisation was chosen by the Therapy Pro Gold Coast team, as a shared reward.
Occupational Therapist, Fallon McGrath shared that Childhood Cancer Support provided a house for her family when her brother was receiving treatment when Fallon was 12 years old. This experience and time at Childhood Cancer Support is where Fallon first learnt what an occupational therapist did, and feels this is an incredible way for her story to come full circle.
Helen reflected on Fallon’s story and how wonderful it was, she thought, to pay it forward after all these years and is humbled by the long-term impact their service has on children and their families.
