Shirley is able to support clients and their families in tailoring therapy to suit their needs. She aims to ensure that therapy is relevant and functional for all clients so they can have the skills to participate within the community and social settings.
Shirley has worked across various settings, including private practice, community, and schools. Whilst Shirley is confident working across the lifespan, her experience is in working predominantly with children with disabilities (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, and ADHD) and the culturally and linguistically diverse population.
Shirley believes that working collaboratively with the client, family, and stakeholders is essential for therapy to work. She strives to make her sessions engaging and motivating so that clients look forward to working on their communication difficulties and getting the most out of their therapy.
