Barsha is a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner and qualified Social Worker with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a Masters in Social Work. Barsha is passionate about providing compassionate, person-centred support that respects each individual’s strengths, culture, and lived experience.
Barsha has experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Intellectual Disability and Cerebral Palsy, using a biopsychosocial approach to understand the connection between emotional wellbeing, environment, and behaviour. Barsha uses evidence-based, ethical approaches to support positive outcomes, improve quality of life, and enhance independence.
Barsha aims to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in working towards their personal goals. Barsha speaks five languages, which helps her work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and communicate in a way that feels comfortable and inclusive.
