Teena is a highly experienced, certified practicing speech pathologist and a proud member of Speech Pathology Australia. With over 20 years of expertise, she has supported children with additional needs and disabilities across a variety of settings including community health, mainstream and special schools, not-for-profit organizations, private practice, and the NDIS.

She is deeply passionate about working with preschool and primary school-aged children, helping them achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Teena values a family-centered approach and enjoys working collaboratively with her colleagues to provide holistic, well-rounded support.

How can you support people?

Teena supports her participants by empowering them and their families, improving their confidence, their independence and their ability to participate in their communities. She is passionate, dedicated and collaborates with other team members to offer well-rounded, holistic therapy.

How does your background shape the way you work?

Teena is a teacher, childcare educator and speech pathologist. She has worked as a paediatric speech pathologist since 2002.
Over the past 23 years Teena has helped children improve their communication and social skills, confidence, and independence.
This has in-turn led to decreased frustration levels and a positive impact in the child’s environment (home, school or daycare).

What is your approach to working with people?

Teena is empathetic, warm, and nurturing. She is a highly skilled and adaptable communicator and relates well with children, families, professionals and colleagues.
She will focus on ensuring that you and your child are comfortable during therapy sessions.
Her priority is to build a rapport and gain trust from your child during assessment and whilst setting and addressing therapy goals.
