Positive Behaviour Support

Therapy Pro has a number of therapists with extensive experience in Positive Behaviour Support, including the development of plans and training of support workers.

At Therapy Pro our approach to Positive Behaviour Support considers all aspects of the person, their support and environment. It’s the ‘Therapy Pro Way’ where the client and their goals are at the centre of everything we do.

We work in a very flexible and client centred way. Please feel free to call us on 1300 004 414 or email info@therapypro.com.au with any questions or for further information.

Good to know

Abbreviations can be used by people who are familiar with behaviour support. If you are looking at some level of behaviour support for the first time this can be difficult to navigate. To help you, here are some common abbreviations that are used and why:

PBS – Positive Behaviour Support – an international model of practice;

BSP – Behaviour Support Practitioner – the Commission’s description of practitioners who can do PBS as a practice and who are measured against the Commission’s capability framework;

SBS – Specialist Behaviour Support – is the description of one of the two domains under the funding stream of Improved Relationships in the price guide and which only BSPs can deliver.

PBS and SBS are not interchangeable formally, as they each have their own purpose, but people can sometimes mix them up.
